Biography
Daniel del Río is a spanish composer currently living in Gernika, Basque Country.
His works have been presented both individually and collaboratively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas; in venues such as MNCARS, Kölner Philharmonie, HCMFestival, White Cube NY, Hundred Years Gallery, MediaLab-Prado, CeReNeM, Matadero Madrid, Stahel Gallery, OTO Space, among others.
His practice operates at the intersection of artistic research, sound art, and electroacoustic music, with a particular focus on the relationships between sound, space, and embodiment. Through both compositional and installation-based work, he explores algorithmic and generative processes, spatial sound systems, and the materiality of sound in architectural and performative contexts.
